What does the secondary school cadetship cover?

This programme is designed for senior college students who are emerging environmental leaders in their respective schools. Over the course of one year, students will learn a range of practical skills relevant to New Zealand conservation and will engage in outdoor field training opportunities. They will be supported to carry out a conservation project in their schools or wider community while hearing from a range of engaging guest speakers. The gold certificate is aimed at year 11-13 students, but is also open to exceptional young enthusiasts in years 9-10. There will be more information to come as the programme is rolled out in 2025.
