What does the intermediate school cadetship cover?

The intermediate school cadetship is divided into four sessions. These sessions cover the same topics as the primary school cadetship in greater detail:

  1. Introductory session: students are introduced to the range of species in New Zealand and some of the threats they face.
  2. Treasuring the environment: students learn about why New Zealand’s native species are special and unique.
  3. Meet the predators: students learn about the key mammalian predators that pose a threat to native species.
  4. Taking Action & Reflection: students reflect on their learnings and design their own action plans to take home and implement.
