What does the intermediate school cadetship cover?
The intermediate school cadetship is divided into four sessions. These sessions cover the same topics as the primary school cadetship in greater detail:
- Introductory session: students are introduced to the range of species in New Zealand and some of the threats they face.
- Treasuring the environment: students learn about why New Zealand’s native species are special and unique.
- Meet the predators: students learn about the key mammalian predators that pose a threat to native species.
- Taking Action & Reflection: students reflect on their learnings and design their own action plans to take home and implement.
